The Low Point of My Summer

Every April brings renewed hope for baseball fans everywhere. Many get to hold onto that hope for the next six months or more. And some of us are doomed to lose hope well before the season is anywhere near its conclusion. The Mariner’s game may be the high point of my summer day–while hope still exists for a playoff birth–but the low point of my summer is almost invariably when Mariner’s management gives up on this year. With some 40 games left to go, my Mariners’ of 2010 are long, long gone. Continue reading
