This Idol season yielded a true-professional in Paul McDonald. Voted off 8th, the 26 year-old hails from Huntsville, Alabama. Before Idol, Paul McDonald was (and still remains) the lead vocalist of The Grand Magnolias, formerly known as the Hightide Blues.
